Return to the blue capsule

I wore blue outfits twice last week, and I'm doing it again today - and linking up to Patti's Visible Monday at the Not Dead Yet Style blog. The temperatures are still very low for the season so I'm wearing t-shirt underneath which does make the shirt feel very tight!.

To brighten up things I added my Marni bracelets (from H&M) - and if I had a pink scarf I would have added that too - but that's still just dream. Now without the jacket:

Instead of a close up I have a photo of the rear view. At school today I had to go up to the blackboard and write something and I became very conscious about my appearance - from the back.

It could be worse and it could be better. For one thing I should always remember to pull down my top (my husband says it all the time).

My weekend was busy so I haven't planned any outfits for the rest of the week - I hate that! I'll either end up wearing jeans all week or repeat an outfit from last week, or be late for school every day!

  1. Blue is perfect for you! You know, I never think about what I look like from behind . . . you look just right. Thanks for coming over to Visible Monday!

    1. Thank you very much Patti! Normally I forget that too which is really a bad habit since people see us from the back as well as from the front.

  2. I think you look great from the behind. I am also very conscious of the way I look from behind after seeing a photo of myself from that angle.
I really like your outfit. It looks like something I would wear and be very happy in! Blue is a good color for you.

  3. I think you look good from all angels and as the other lovely ladies have said, blue is great color on you! It is nothing bad with repeating a previous outfit! Isn't that one of the reasons why we style blog to find outfits that we ilk?. However, as I have said in my latest post I pretty often abandon those outfits I have got on photos, which I think is a mistake. But, you cannot always live as you learn. Although, I am working on it!

  4. Thank you Anna - you're so right, if I like a certain outfit I shouldn't abandon it just because it's appeared on the blog or my class mates have seen it already. Instead I should put some effort into remixing and find new ways to style it.

  5. I really like that jacket -- tailored and feminine, both! And I envy your rear view. I'm proportionally challenged back there, so I tend to get droopy "Grandpa butt" in my slacks. :(

(Is that a thing, "Grandpa butt?" I feel like I've heard it before.....)

    1. Thank you so much! It is my favorite jacket. It was so cheap I only expected it to last a season, years ago. I added the edging myself as it was a bit anonymous. I think It'll last a few more seasons. A Grandpa butt? Really? Being Danish I'm not sure I understand, I'll have to Google it. I'll let you know how That turns out!

  6. I have been noticing this blue every where lately. You know--concern about my appearance in the classroom was one of the things that got me started blogging. It is difficult to be in front of so many scrutinizing eyes for so many hours in a day.

    1. I hope we have a tendency to over estimate how much people see, and care!

    1. Thank you Melanie, that is so sweet of you! Since I don't wear earrings, and have a hard time finding large rings for my fat fingers I try to even it out on my arms!

  8. Just dittoing what's been said above -- the blue, the blazer, and the angles all look good from here.

[Could you be a little short-waisted? That's why I get extra fabric in the small of my back. If I "pull it down" then things are at the wrong place. Another reason I prefer knits or unstructured blouses!]

    1. Thank you so much Vix! You're right - I'm short waisted. Recently I found out that buying tops from the petite ranges is a great solution. The waist is at the right length, and since I prefer 3/4 length sleeves, the sleeves fit nicely as well!
