All fall colours |
This outfit always creates a bit of a stir so I thought it would be great for the Visible Monday party at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style blog!
Everything is wet, and I haven't got any steps to sit on, but I'm holding my favorite cup. It's really a coffee mug, that my daughter decorated when she was in kindergarten many years ago. It says "Mom" at the bottom! She's so sweet!
Remember you can enlarge the photos with a click.
See Anna, I'm wearing mustard! |
For the benefit of Anna of Four Seasons One Wardrobe (and everyone else interested) I'm showing how well my pumpkin tights go with my mustard skirt.
Enjoying my coffee |
Some years back I was on a family holiday, and I wore this skirt. I'll never forget my mother's face when she saw it - I think she nearly had a heart attack! Not that she said anything, she never would, but she did look very surprised!
Watching a vintage plane flying by |
One of the dog owners that we frequently meet when we're walking our dog, is a pilot. He's also a member of a club of vintage plane enthusiasts. As I stood on the balcony his plane just passed, and I couldn't help look up!
Now I'm going see how visible everyone else is on this typical wet and dark Scandinavian autumn day!
Come join the party!
Love the skirt and tights but damn, those boots are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I do cherish those boots! With the rough weather up here in the North, good boots are a vital part of everyone's wardrobe.
ReplyDeletePretty cool you saw your friend's plane go by. Was that a coincidence or what?
ReplyDeleteI love this unexpected color combination and you put that ballerina skirt together in a way that's completely wearable! You look marvelous!
Thank you so much Joni! Yes, the plane passed purely by coincidence. But he often flies so there's always a chance of seeing him, or rather the beautiful vintage plane!
DeleteI have actually worn this outfit to a birthday party some time ago, wearing leopard tights and leopard shoes with it. I think that worked very well too.
This might be one of my favorite outfits yet! The dress is wonderful, and the way you've combined it with the tulle is so artistic and fun. The colors are gorgeous together, plus you already know how I feel about the boots ! :-) My mother thinks I dress in a ridiculous fashion, but she on the other hand, will occasionally comment.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Jean! I'm sure my mother likes a lot of my outfits, but some of them are really too advanced/artistic/mad for her taste!
DeleteThe funny thing is that she's an artist herself, and for her age she's certainly not a conservative dresser!
I really don't know what happened to the third line, Sorry!
DeleteFabulous! I love how the hem of your blue dress is draped so it's absolutely perfect with the tulle underskirt. I would like to figure that out so I can do it with one of my pieces...
ReplyDeleteAnd you sipping coffee against the wooden fence with fall leaves is just gorgeous.
Thank you very much Pao! The lower part of the dress has a wide triangle inserted at both sides. The widest side is the hem, and it has a drawstring.
ReplyDeleteI think you can take any skirt or dress and split the side seam, and then insert your triangle. If my explanation makes any sense, that is!
oooo, thanks so much for the explanation. I can see it all now and think I'll make a go at it. It's a beautiful dress and the way you've styled it is delightful.
DeleteI'll be looking out for the result on your blog. Good luck!
DeleteAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you are killing me with that gorgeous ballerina skirt, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity I won´t be able to meet you when you come to Spain.
Come to Málaga next time and I will be there waiting for you.
Much love my dear friend.

ReplyDeleteXo Megan
Thank you so much Megan!
ReplyDeleteoh tine, i love how you mixed three different styles! you look great!
ReplyDeletesee you drinking a cup of coffee i feel that i will have one too!
Thank you very much Sabine! Maybe we can have coffee together some day! In any case, a good cup of coffee is a life necessity for me!
DeleteOh, I love this outfit! So happy and well put together! And of course I love the the colored tights. Thank you so much for referring to me! I wished you lived closer to here, because then you could have had a piece of the apple cake that I just made to have together with your cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Anna! Yes please! Apple pie sounds delicious! If we lived closer we could borrow tights from each other, doubling our choice!
DeleteGreat! But what about the bracelets and lovely pink coats? I offer a big handbag selection in return, which might not be as known to you, as it should be.
DeleteYou're kidding - you have a handbag collection that you're not showing on the blog? That will have to change!
DeleteYou can always borrow my pink coat but I think it's too big. Of course that just leaves room for a nice, much needed warm sweater!
Great mix of styles! Have a lovely week:)
ReplyDelete~Anne
Thank you so much Anne, and the same to you!
DeleteI love this! It's probably the most unexpected version of all the tulle outfits, the colours and layering just make it zing!
ReplyDeleteI am envying those boots too.
My mother thinks I look weird but knows better than to say anything! xxx
Thank you very much Curtise! I think my mother just resigned at some point. Most of the time I do think she's happy with what I wear (I hope!) though.
Deleteamazing look :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Antonella!
DeleteWhat fun to join in on the ballerina tulle party! It looks like a really fun outfit to wear. Don't you feel really girly in it?
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbi, it is great fun to try and come up with my own version of a ballerina skirt outfit (with cup)! Actually I never thought I was especially girly in this. Maybe it's the boots, or maybe the dress. I think maxi dresses make me feel very girly, because they're long.
DeleteWhat a beautiful silhouette and great colours. Such a very, very special mug as well. Amazing version!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Amber! My daughter still loves seeing me drink out of that cup, some ten years later, and now it's appeared on the blog too! I'm a good parent!
DeleteHow wonderful to see you join the ballerina party! I like the "overdress"
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Terri! The grey dress has actually appeared on the blog a couple of times, but in more neutral outfits. It's one of my favorites as it doesn't need ironing, and is very comfortable.
DeleteHello! Got a glimpse of your skirt at Visible Monday and had to click right over! I love this outfit! Well done!! The ballerina tulle tutu thing was fun wasn't it?? :D Will follow along with you!

Lynn
Thank you very much Lynn, and a warm welcome! Yes, it was a challenge I couldn't resist! As soon as I took the skirt out of the closet I thought of the autumn leaves on the balcony, which do help the outfit look it's best.
DeleteLove this look -- especially how the boots "ground" the whole outfit!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Wendy! It seems like these boots are on every post these days! I'll soon have to look for new ones, as these will be worn out!
Deletelove it great taste and style.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Clara!
DeleteOMG OMG OMG OMG, another drop jaw outfit from you!!!!!!!!!! YOu look amazing!! Where did you get the ballerina skirt, I want one BADLY!! :P I had to laugh when I read about your mothers reaction, mine would have reacted the same way but she wouldnt have kept quiet about it. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Monica! The skirt is actually an old Noa Noa, from about 6 or 8 ago. But it shouldn't be too hard to make one yourself, and then you get to decide the length too! I have to hike mine up all time, it's just a tad too long.
DeleteWhen our mothers talk it's always out of love, we have to remember that!
Loving your ballerina look from head to toe. So much creativity and gorgeous color combinations. These photos are some of my favorites of you. Brava!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Judith! I think I was very lucky to have the autumn leaves right next to me, they do help the colours of the outfit.
DeleteOh love love!
