Blog make-over

Kaffesoester visiting the Irregular Choice Store in London summer 2014

Having seen the serious changes on many other blogs since my 2 year pause I decided a make-over was due on my blog too.

I have followed Catherine's many great blogging tips on the Not Dressed As Lamb blog. I highly recommend a visit as she explains everything so simply, with easy to follow guides.

Taking pictures of a blog make-over is tricky... So here's a photo from my visit to heaven, the Irregular Choice Store in London last summer. I bought the shoes in my hand, and I promise to incorporate them in an outfit soon!

Not everything is in order yet, but I'll get there. Soon I'll be adding social media icons - you can already follow me on Google+ by using the button in the sidebar :-)

See you very soon - have a great weekend!

Love Kaffesoester

  1. Well done dear Tine! I love you new blog outfit.
I look forward to seeing how you combine these cute shoes. I suppose I could have resisted the bags on top of the shelf.
    Have a fine weekend!

    1. Thank you so much Sabine! Yes - the bags aren't made of leather, and they're over decorated. So just the shoes for me, and not even all of them :-)

  2. Oh those shoes! I would be in heaven too. xo

    1. Yes Patti, and the best thing: I was there with my maternity group that have become very good friends. As always we had a blast!

  3. Oh my goodness. That shoe store is a dream come true! I don't know of any store in Vancouver that comes close. These make Fluevogs look like granny shoes, although I do like granny shoes.
I love your blog makeover so far. I didn't realize that Kaffesoester meant a coffee guzzler. Me too!

    1. I haven't seen anyone more capable of styling granny shoes - they looks cool on you :-)

Yes, I drink so much coffee my eyes should have turned brown by now!

  4. Hello, and welcome back to the blogging world! I've been posting and commenting very little, but you've proven that it can be good to take time off - and it doesn't mean goodbye forever.

I've just looked back at some of your recent posts - your pink suede shoes are gorgeous, and your outfits and colorful scarves are as classy as ever! By the way, I posted a few weeks ago about a Danish song I remember from my childhood, about a crow in a tree. Sim sala bim bam ba sala du sala dim. Do you know it?

    1. Thank you so much Val! Yes I did actually see that post, but never managed to leave a comment :-(

The song was part of my repertoire when my daughter was younger and still had a lullaby at bedtime. It's hard to believe that it's for little children since it's about how the hunter shoots a crow that dies. Rather unsettling! But you never know with children :-)

Was it one of your grand parents that where Danish?

    2. Hi, Tine. How fun to know that song is still being sung! My father's parents came from Denmark. I know my grandfather was from Julesminde, but I'm not sure about my grandmother. And my mother's grandparents all came from Denmark - one was from Jutland, but I'm not sure where the others were from. My mother still keeps in touch with some distant cousins in Copenhagen, I think. I should ask her more questions!

    3. I love knowing everything about my family's history. I've traced my grandmother's back several hundred years. It turned out they were all farmers, staying in the same area through the generations. A bit boring! I've haven't had time to work on my grandfather's, but I do know that some were travelling scribes :-)

  5. You look as though you are in shoe heaven! What a great black and white photo of you too, and it's good to get to know your name, Tine!
I must confess I'm not so bothered about how blogs look, and frequently find myself counting up how many of the "rules" my blog is breaking... It's my innate rebellious streak, I don't like being told what to do! Good content and personality are most important for me, and you have both! xxx

  6. Oh Thank you so much Curtise! Rules are ment to be broken, otherwise we'd end up the same, all of us :-)

As for content and personality - I think it comes with age. A lot of us get tired of pleasing others at all cost! And that shows :-)

  7. How crisp and clean and cool your new blog make-over is, Tine. I was so excited to see/hear that you're back online again! I look forward to catching up with the posts I've missed since you've returned. I've always luved your color combos and jewelry treasures - not to mention - shoes.

    1. Thank you very much Monica! How terrible about your computer! Do you want me to e-mail my phone number so you can text me, about your trip to Copenhagen?
