Cheap old thing... |
My daughter came home early from school, as it was the first day after the summer holidays. Since going to school is very hard work she needed cake. I didn't make this myself, but it matches the dress perfectly! We saved more than half of it for later, since her Dad loves strawberry cake!
No cake without coffee! |
Of course I had to have a close up of the cake - so you can get a better look at it. It was delicious!
Even the rings match |
The small one is for my daughter, it's her favorite!
Today I wore a new skirt and top for the first time. It seems my favorite bracelets have just been waiting for this very top! I love the oriental print, and I think I'll order another right away.
New top from H&M |
Here's a rare rear view...
I have to remember to pull the top down! |
As mentioned the bracelets wore a perfect match!
I can't believe I got all the jewellery first! |
I'm linking up with Patti's Visible Monday, although I'm terribly late, on the Not Dead Yet Style - and with Everybody Everywear for the Monochromatic challenge.
Enjoy summer, if you have nice weather like me, otherwise enjoy all lovely photos on the blogs above!
Oh man, that cake looks delish! And your red dress is beautiful! It really really suits you. I'm a bit jealous of your hot weather, we're right into winter at the moment here!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'm enjoying the sun as much as I can - we have a very long and cold winter up here! In fact we only have 3 to 4 months of warm(er) weather! The rest of the time it's wet, windy and cold - so nothing to be jealous about!
ReplyDeleteYour "old dress" looks so fresh and pretty, and perfect for the dessert! : > Thanks for linking up, and have a wonderful (warm) day.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Patti! It's always a pleasure to attend Visible Monday!
DeleteOh that is bound to happen here too, the weather always seems to improve in September when the kids go back to school. For today - RAIN!
ReplyDeleteYour strawberry dress is gorgeous, I love putting on a reliable old faithful frock which always looks good.
Pretty print and colours on your new top, and I love your sandals. xxxxxxx
Thank you so much Curtise! I actually walked the dog in this outfit, that's how comfortable these sandals are!
DeleteI agree with Patti - that "old dress" is perfect on you! I love that red. And of course the cake...mmm. The skirt and top combo are great too. You're right about the accessories!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie! Next time I wear the red dress I'll put my red lipstick on as well, it's sort of missing on these photos.
DeleteYour new top is really nice, where did you find it? But please don't tell me where you bought the cakes, as I would not be able to resist them, I have already given into an ice cream and an Italian biscotti today.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anna! One small biscotti - and a little ice cream, you'll work it off on your way home from work, I'm sure! The cake is bought too near my home, obviously! It tasted good!
DeleteThe top is from H&M, and it comes in other colours too. This shape has been my favorite for more than a year now. It disguises belly rolls quite well, enhances the curves and is easily cared for. A perfect top although I'm trying to cut down on my H&M shopping.
Ohhh, then I will have a look for that top to, as I just like you think it is very flattering. Tine, I live so close to the University that I am lucky if I burn a raisin by walking there - so no free exercise for me. However, short road to the work means that I can wear high heels and that I don't need to think about bike friendly outfits - me like a lot!
DeleteWell, in that case you should certainly stay far away from strawberry cake! You would be saving calories as well as money for more high heels! I'm wearing the beige shimmer version of the top today - check it out in my next post!
DeleteLove how those bracelets work perfectly! Maybe it is because you are buying what you love. I have been doing that all summer and outfits are magically coming together. It is saving me money too and I don't stress to find a complete outfit anymore. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rachel! The fun thing is, that I only bought one of the bracelets, the others are gifts! But I think it's like you said - magic!
DeleteI love the red dress on you - it highlights all the right parts. The new top goes great with the bracelets (and the skirt too). Wow school starts early there, we still have another couple of weeks of summer holidays.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Narda! The school holiday started in late June, so it's not exactly a short holiday. On top of that we have many short holidays throughout the year - in fact Denmark is one of the countries with most holidays, in this world! We're not lazy, of course...!
Deletered dress and matching cake - yes please.
ReplyDeleteyou look stunning.
Xo Megan
Thank you very much Megan! Maybe I'll make it a new trend - matching my outfit to a cake!
DeleteYou look so fabulous in that red dress!! I love the color and cut on you. The cake looks so delicious and I love the fact that your daughter got her own. The H&M top is fun, too. And please, you look good coming AND going, as they say. I wish I had your hip/waist ratio!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jean! It is a bit of a challenge to dress this hip/waist ratio, most clothes are built for other shapes. But type of top is very near perfect!
DeleteOh, woow such a stunning red dress!! :) congrats with your new purchases, fit like a glove :) oh that strawberry cake looked yummy :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Monica! The cake was delicious! You'll definitely see the top again soon, I'm wearing these tops all the time during the colder seasons!
